വിവരമറിഞ്ഞ് പള്ളൂർ പോലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി ഗതാഗതം നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ജീവനക്കാരെത്തി ലോറിയുടെ ബ്രേക്ക് തകരാർ പരിഹരിച്ച് വാഹനം റോഡിൽ നിന്ന് മാറ്റിയതോടെയാണ് ഗതാഗതം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. അപ്പോഴേക്കും 7 മണിക്കൂറോളം പിന്നിട്ടിരുന്നു. മിനിട്ടുകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ വാഹനങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞതോടെ തിരികെ പോകാനാകത്ത വിധം പലരും അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

The tanker lorry going from East Pallur side towards Kozhikode got stuck on the service road at around 2 AM due to brake failure. Since underpass construction is going on at the signal part, vehicles are currently being diverted through the service road.

With the tanker lorry stuck across the road, traffic through this route was completely blocked. Being a tanker lorry, there was no space even for small vehicles to pass. With this, hundreds of passengers were stuck on the road for hours.

On getting information, Pallur police reached the spot and controlled traffic. Later, workers arrived, fixed the brake failure of the lorry and removed the vehicle from the road, after which traffic was restored. By then, about 7 hours had passed. Within minutes, vehicles piled up and many were literally trapped with no way to go back.

Even a small technical failure in the section where vehicles pass only through the service road due to construction works is causing huge traffic jam.
