Crucial decision was taken in mass convention held at Chokli Ramavilasam Higher Secondary School. Meeting decided to file habeas corpus petition in High Court to find Shivasurya and to examine shortcomings in preliminary investigation. Convention also decided to hold mass dharna in front of Chokli Police Station with all sections of people and to organise strong protest programmes further.

Convention was inaugurated by Kannur District Civil Rights Committee Convener Suchitra Vivek under chairmanship of Block Panchayat Member V. Udayan Master. People's representatives, political party leaders, students and prominent persons from various fields spoke. V.V. Shefeeq was selected as Action Council Chairman and T. Jayesh as Convener.

Along with strengthening legal fight to find Shivasurya, locals decided to come to streets and raise protest. Family and people's convention demand urgent intervention in investigation to find the child.
