തേജസ് ഡ്രൈവിംഗ് സ്കൂൾ പരിശീലക അനില കെ. എം. പദ്ധതി വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്റ്റാൻഡിങ് കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയർമാൻമാരായ പി. കെ. മുഹമ്മദലി, സമീറ കെ. പി., ലിബിഷ എ. പി., ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗം ഉഷ എം., ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗങ്ങളായ അശ്വതി മോഹൻ, ലീല എ. പി., രാജൻ കെ. എന്നിവർ ആശംസകൾ നേർന്നു.

വാർഡ് വികസന സമിതി കൺവീനർ വള്ളിൽ നാരായണൻ സ്വാഗതവും സുനിൽകുമാർ എം. എം. നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു.

വനിതകളുടെ സഞ്ചാരസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും ആത്മവിശ്വാസവും സ്വയംപര്യാപ്തതയും വർധിപ്പിക്കാൻ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്ന പദ്ധതി, ജനപ്രതിനിധികളുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പ്രാദേശികതലത്തിൽ നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന ജനോപകാരപ്രദമായ ഇടപെടലുകൾക്ക് മാതൃകയാവുകയാണ്.

Seventeenth ward of Kunnothuparamba Grama Panchayat with project to provide driving training at low rate to make women self sufficient and capable of driving vehicle confidently. This beneficial project for women started under leadership of ward member KC Bindu. Project is being implemented with cooperation of Tejas Driving School in Panoor and support of Ward Development Committee. Opportunity to get driving training at lower cost than normal rate is provided to women by including in ward members CARE project. Through this women who have to postpone driving studies due to financial limitations will also get opportunity to get training. Project is designed with aim that ability to drive vehicle in daily life will give women more freedom and confidence. Driving training will help to reduce situation of having to depend on others for travel and to utilize more opportunities in various sectors including employment. This enterprise is part of effort to identify needs of women and find practical solutions for them. Ward member KC Bindu who is notable for implementing different and beneficial projects with public participation is leading new project also. This is also example of how more beneficial projects for people can be implemented at local level when intervention of peoples representative and cooperation of Ward Development Committee and participation of private institution come together. Formal inauguration of project was done by Kunnothuparamba Grama Panchayat President K Faseela at Puthur Markas Auditorium. Thalassery RTO Venugopal participated as distinguished guest and delivered keynote address. Panchayat Vice President KP Ramachandran Master presided. Tejas Driving School trainer Anila KM explained project.
