ന്യൂ മാഹി: രൂക്ഷമായ ഗതാഗത ക്കുരുക്ക് നേരിടുന്ന പെരിങ്ങാടി റെയിൽവേ ലെവൽ ക്രോസിലെ യാത്രാദുരിതത്തിന് പരിഹാരം കാണുന്നതിന് വേണ്ട നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് കെ.സുധാകരൻ എം.പി.ക്ക് കർമ്മസമിതി ഭാരവാഹികൾ നിവേദനം നൽകി. പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി ന്യൂമാഹി - ചൊക്ലി പൊതുമരാമത്ത് റോഡിലെ പെരിങ്ങാടി റെയിൽവെ റെയിറ്റിലെ യാത്രാക്ലേശം രൂക്ഷമായി തുടരുകയാണ്.

തലശ്ശേരി-മാഹി ബൈപ്പാസ് യാഥാർഥ്യമായതോടെ ഈ മേഖലയിൽ വാഹനഗതാഗതം വലിയ തോതിൽ വർധിച്ചു. ഇതോടെ ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്ക് അതിരൂക്ഷമായി. മാഹി റെയിൽവെ സ്റ്റേഷന് വളരെ അടുത്ത് കിടക്കുന്ന ഈ ഗെയിറ്റിൽ മൂന്നും നാലും തീവണ്ടികൾ കടന്നു പോകുന്നത് വരെ ഗെയിറ്റ് അടഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അര മണിക്കൂറിലേറെയൊക്കെ സമയമാണ് ഗതാഗതതടസമുണ്ടാവുന്നത്. ഇതിന് പരിഹാരം തേടിയാണ് ന്യൂമാഹി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് ഭരണസമിതിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ സർവ്വകക്ഷി കർമ്മസമിതി രൂപവത്കരിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങിയത്.

ഇതിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള എം.പിമാരെ സന്ദർശിച്ച് വിവരം ധരിപ്പിച്ച് നിവേദനം നൽകുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായാണ് കെ. സുധാകരൻ എം.പി.യെ സന്ദർശിച്ച് നിവേദനം നൽകിയത്. ന്യൂ മാഹി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് അർജുൻ പവിത്രൻ, ജനകീയ കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ ജനറൽ കൺവീനറും ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗവുമായ ടി.എച്ച്. അസ്‌ലം എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് നിവേദനം നൽകിയത്. പഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിരം സമിതി അധ്യക്ഷൻ ടി.എ. ഷർമ്മിരാജ്, പഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗങ്ങളായ പി.കെ.സുനിത, എ.സി. രേഷ്മ, വി.കെ. അനീഷ് ബാബു, സാജിത്ത് പെരിങ്ങാടി, ഷാനു പുന്നോൽ എന്നിവരും ചേർന്നാണ് നിവേദനം നൽകിയത്.

Travel hardship at Peringadi railway gate on New Mahe - Chokli PWD road has been severe for decades. With Thalassery-Mahe bypass becoming reality, vehicular traffic in this area increased largely. With this traffic jam became extremely severe. Since gate being very close to Mahe railway station, gate remains closed until three and four trains pass, traffic block occurs for more than half an hour. To seek solution for this, all-party Karma Samithi formed under leadership of New Mahe Grama Panchayat governing body and started functioning. As part of this, visiting MPs from Kannur district, informing matter and submitting petition, K. Sudhakaran MP was visited and petition submitted. Petition was submitted under leadership of New Mahe Grama Panchayat President Arjun Pavithran, General Convener of Janakeeya Committee and Grama Panchayat member T.H. Aslam. Panchayat Standing Committee Chairman T.A. Sharmiraj, Panchayat members P.K. Sunitha, A.C. Reshma, V.K. Aneesh Babu, Sajith Peringadi, Shanu Punnol also joined to submit petition.
