ഗർഭാശയം നീക്കൽ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെ വീട്ടമ്മ മരിച്ചു. വടകര മന്ദരത്തൂർ സ്വദേശിനി തങ്കമണി ആണ് ഇന്നലെ വൈകീട്ട് കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ വച്ച് മരിച്ചത്.

കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് പൊലീസ് ചികിത്സാ പിഴവിന് കേസെടുത്തു. എട്ടാം തീയതിയാണ് മാതൃശിശു സംരക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ തങ്കമണിയുടെ സർജറി നടന്നതെന്നും ഒമ്പതിന് റൂമിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയതിന് പിന്നാലെ ഛർദ്ദിയും പനിയും തുടങ്ങിയെന്നും കുടുംബം പറയുന്നു.

ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചാൽ ഛർദ്ദിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയായിരുന്നു. വൻകുടലിൽ മുറിവുണ്ടായെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർമാർ പറഞ്ഞെന്നും കുടുംബം പറയുന്നു. ഇതോടെ വീണ്ടും ഓപ്പറേഷൻ തിയറ്ററിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി സർജറി നടത്തി. പിന്നാലെ ഇന്നലെ വൈകീട്ട് അഞ്ച് മണിയോടെ തങ്കമണി മരണത്തിന് കീഴടങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു.
