സാധാരണക്കാര്‍ക്ക് ആശ്വാസമായി ക്ഷേമപെന്‍ഷന്‍ അര്‍ഹതാ മാനദണ്ഡത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് വീട്ടിലെ എയര്‍ കണ്ടിഷന്‍ ഒഴിവാക്കി.1000 സിസിയില്‍ താഴെയുള്ള വാഹനങ്ങളും ബാധകമാകില്ല. ഇവ രണ്ടും മാനദണ്ഡത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം ശക്തമായതിനേ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് നീക്കം. തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ വകുപ്പാണ് ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച തീരുമാനമറിയിച്ചത്.

സാമൂഹ്യ ക്ഷേമ പെന്‍ഷനുകള്‍ ലഭിക്കാനുള്ള മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങള്‍ കാലോചിതമായി പരിഷ്‌കരിക്കുമെന്ന് നേരത്തെ നിയമസഭയില്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ ജൂണില്‍ ടി പി അഷ്‌റഫ് അലി എംഎല്‍എ ഉന്നയിച്ച സബ്മിഷനുള്ള മറുപടിയായാണ് കാലോചിതമായി പരിഷ്‌കരിക്കുന്ന സൂചന നല്‍കിയത്.
